DESCRIPTION

One of the by-products of the Covid-19 pandemic and the lockdowns that have occurred globally is that fewer human interactions have resulted in decreased workplace violence and active shooter incidents. However, as the world’s populace becomes increasingly inoculated and people go back to schools and offices, the risk of violent and potentially deadly outbursts is inevitable. There is also the great unknown with regards to the potential mental health impacts of the pandemic and how people may be on edge as they return to some semblance of normality.

Join us as our panel of experts discuss the implications of the coronavirus outbreak on workplace violence and active shooter mitigation strategies and how organizations need to evolve accordingly.

You will learn:

  • The steps public and private sectors organizations should take now to address workplace violence and active shooter threats before the bulk of the workforce returns;
  • What types of post-pandemic resources businesses should be providing to their employees as they come back to the office;
  • How to recognize the warning signs and/or indicators of behavior that could be the precursor to a violent outburst;
  • Why organizations are addressing active shooter response training as a life skill;
  • How to identify the warning signs and behaviors people exhibit that may lead to violence;
  • The positive impact this level of preparation can have on staff confidence and productivity as well as business continuity;
  • And, how to better leverage technology and CPTED principles to mitigate active assailants in different work environments.
